The Kenwood by Senior Star holds special Veterans Day celebration

KENWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) – Veterans Day was on November 11 this year and celebrations across the country took place to honor the troops, including one ceremony at a local retirement community.

With the holiday falling on a Saturday, many places were able to take full advantage of the day to honor the troops.

At The Kenwood, the day was extra special as they got to not only honor the troops but also one of their own, Retired Air Force Major Howard Leroy, who is a resident of the community.

Howard was joined by his two sons, retired Army Colonel Jeff Leroy, and retired Air Force Colonel David Leroy. Both of his sons were able to take part in the event.

On top of joining their dad for the celebration, David was also able to be a featured speaker for the event.
