Great care starts with a great community. At Senior Star we are incredibly fortunate to have both fantastic residents and incredible associates.
However, we know this isn’t something that happens by accident. At Senior Star we work hard to create a positive work environment where our employees come first. That’s because we want to do everything we can to empower our associates to deliver excellent service and care.
Each year we work with an independent research consulting firm called Great Place to Work® to learn what we’re doing right and where we can improve. The certification program is a two-step process.
First, our associates are asked to complete an anonymous survey about their experience in the workplace. Second, the program takes a close look at our company culture through an extensive questionnaire.
We are proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work again this year. This is our sixth time earning this important distinction.
We are also incredibly pleased to report that 99.8 percent of our associates completed the anonymous survey. We believe it is vital we hear from all of our associates as we strive to create a world-class work environment.

Fortune Magazine: Best Workplaces in Aging Services™
In 2022, we were also honored with another distinction: Fortune Magazine’s Best Workplaces in Aging Services™.
This highly competitive designation is only available to organizations that have demonstrated an exceptional employee experience. For an organization to qualify, employees are asked to candidly share their organization’s culture and work environment in a 60+ question survey.
This is the fourth time in five years that Senior Star has earned this award – an honor we do not take lightly.

U.S. News & World Report Best Senior Living
Additionally, are honored to have multiple communities ranked in the U.S. News & World Report Best Senior Living for 2023-2024.
This is just the second year for U.S. News & World Report to offer Best Senior Living ratings and profiles So far, 78 percent of our communities have been named we expect this number to grow in the coming years.
The Senior Star communities honored represent three levels of care:
U.S. News & World Report awards the designation of Best Senior Living only to communities that satisfy its statistical assessment of each senior living community’s performance from consumer satisfaction surveys administered between April and November 2022, reflecting the viewpoints of more than 200,000 current residents and family members of residents living in thousands of senior living communities nationwide.
