Felton Brown, 89, of Senior Star at Weber Place in Romeoville, enlisted in the Navy in 1949. After leaving boot camp in San Diego, the Dublin, Georgia, native spent four years in the Navy and served the first three years on the destroyer ship USS Fechtelter. Having the rank of 2nd Class Ship Service, Brown did whatever the ship’s crew needed.
