“I’m finding myself here.” —Kay

Every senior deserves to find a place in the future filled with exploration, passion, and meaning. This is a concept Senior Star champions with every community engagement opportunity.

Senior Star is proud to be a source of guidance for thousands of families every year. As a nationally recognized leader in the seniors housing industry, Senior Star continually researches emerging issues and trends in senior living. The company owners — twin brothers Robert (Bob) and William (Bill) Thomas — put this information into action by leading community advocacy efforts. Read Bob and Bill’s Senior Star story.

United Way

Both Bob and Bill have served locally in leadership roles as past chairs for the Tulsa Area United Way Board of Directors, LIFE Senior Services Capital/Endowment Campaign, and the Tulsa Area United Way Community Campaign — where their leadership contributed to achieving the largest United Way campaign in Tulsa’s history.

Seniors Housing

On a national level, Bob and Bill championed a three-year plan outlining a new fundraising approach for the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA). Bill’s leadership as chairman drastically changed how the organization approached their role of supporting senior issues. In three years, the annual fundraising for the ASHA political action committee grew by over 1,000 percent.

Alzheimer’s Advocacy

Bob works diligently to champion the cause of a “World without Alzheimer’s” by traveling and speaking with legislators and groups that play an instrumental role in providing support for this cause. The National Alzheimer’s Association honored Bob’s leadership in this area by presenting him with the Maureen Reagan Outstanding Advocate Award — an award given to only one recipient annually for Alzheimer’s advocacy.

The Thomas brothers also encourage community involvement among Senior Star associates. They inspire associates to champion the causes that impact seniors both at work and within their communities. It is one more reason why families turn to Senior Star for knowledge they can count on.
