CARF Accreditation

Exceeding Standards in Care and Service

carf_goldseal_cmyk-1Creating a meaningful, life-changing senior living experience calls for far more than the basic comforts and amenities of life. It means creating a purpose — a heart-warming sense of community — within the lives of every individual. This includes not only residents, but family members and associates.

When a senior living community provides outstanding support and respect for everyone, the community thrives. It becomes a world alive with joy and prosperity that is experienced instantly upon walking through the front door.

This experience is one that every resident, family member, and associate should have the opportunity to experience. CARF accreditation recognizes when a community has what it takes to make this a reality.

What Is CARF?

CARF (The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. CARF accreditation is an entirely voluntary process available to assisted living communities nationwide that desire to engage in a meaningful focus on excellence and continuous improvement. While CARF accreditation is voluntary, it is considered a global standard for common practices.

The thorough accreditation process includes approximately 1,500 standards that, when met, exemplify a community’s commitment to putting the needs of every individual at the center of every interaction and business practice. CARF accreditation goes above and beyond state regulations to ensure a reduction of risks, transparency, and the best possible quality of care.

As part of Senior Star’s commitment to Excellence, our communities have passed this CARF Accreditation process to receive full three year accreditation at all levels of care at all of our campuses. This means greater peace of mind, comfort, and well-being for every member of the Senior Star family. It is a difference that redefines senior living by meeting the wants and needs of everyone served.
