Our memory support dining offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances appetite and promotes nutrition. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner on vibrant red Fiestaware® dishes specifically chosen to stimulate appetite. Studies have shown that red plates encourage increased food intake, while yellow hues bring feelings of happiness. Here, we create a nurturing dining experience to ensure your loved one enjoys their meals and receives the nutrition they need.

At Wexford Place, we’ve created a place where your loved one can find purpose and joy each day. Through adaptable memory support programs, we nurture their individuality, knowledge, and skills. It’s one way we make the world bigger for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. We’d love to have you and your loved one attend one of our programs! DESTINATION STATIONS®
Destination programming engages your loved one as they make their way through the memory care neighborhood. Providing associates, families and therapy providers opportunities to encourage movement, engagement and purposeful activity.
SNOEZELEN® MULTI-SENSORY ENVIRONMENT
Snoezelen® is a multi-sensory environment filled with soothing lights, sounds, aromas, and textures used to stimulate, calm, relax, or energize residents. This room is safe and non-threatening, allowing residents to self-direct the use of the equipment in the room, helping your loved one’s mood, relaxation, and cognition.
MUSIC & MEMORY
Music wields remarkable power. It can transcend language, and — for moments at a time — music can even transcend Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia.
Some of the therapeutic benefits of music are:
Eases pain | Improves sleep quality | Enhances blood vessel function | Reduces stress | Relieves symptoms of depression | Elevates mood | Relaxes individuals before surgery | Eases stress during recovery
LUCYNT MAGIC TABLE
A different-on-purpose approach to supporting residents living with dementia. The Lucynt projector is displayed on a tabletop, so residents participate in the activity in a seated, safe setting. Whether it be games that enhance eye-hand coordination, the recollection of memories via pictures, or gaming with group participation, Lucynt creates positive results for residents in the areas of emotion, social interaction, and physical activity.
BACKYARD MEMORY GARDEN
A safe, secure, inviting space that is freely accessible to residents throughout the day. This gated interactive destination allows residents to garden, hang clothes on the clothesline, check the mail, enjoy medication benches, and so much more, promoting both occupational and leisurely interests.
THERAPY DOG
Studies have shown that companion animals help reduce feelings of loneliness, lower stress and blood pressure, and encourage communication. Our community dogs can also make residents feel needed, and that feeling can translate into a greater sense of purpose and self-worth. Animals’ non-verbal communication and profound acceptance can be soothing for those with difficulty using language; some may even connect with memories of their own treasured pets.
THE DEMENTIA EXPERIENCE – OCULUS VIRTUAL PROGRAM
Offered through a Virtual Reality (VR) headset, this program immerses participants in the world of “Harry,” a person living with Alzheimer’s, helping them gain empathy and insight into the disease.
