Making A Difference
Each year, Senior Star associates have the opportunity to give to the United Way to advance the common good in the areas of education, income, and health in each local community. Senior Star founders and brothers, Robert & William Thomas set an example and encourage community involvement among Senior Star associates; inspiring associates to champion the causes that impact seniors both at work and within their local communities.
Because of the Senior Star teams accomplishment of being in the elite Top 100 giving companies within Tulsa Area we were honored to receive the below letter and to have been invited and recognized at the TAUW 2021 Awards Luncheon in March, 2022.
“February 9th 2022
Dear Bob:
Senior Star, your leadership, and your generous employees gave the community a reason to celebrate after navigating a second year of COVID-19. The 2021 United Way campaign surpassed its goal, raising $25,493,060 to help our friends and neighbors in need.
I personally want to thank the Senior Star team for making an exceptional contribution to our success. Your total contributions this year placed you in the elite Top 100 giving companies. We have more than 900 participating companies, so you can see that your campaign is one of the best and crucial to our success. Also because of your support, our community will have the critical safety net in place to ensure that the clients of TAUW’s 59 partner agencies have their needs met this year. More than 500,000 times in 2022, someone will receive services from one of our partner agencies because of this successful campaign and your part in it.
I hope your employees felt a sense of teamwork and pride in this community collaboration – and even had some fun – because they came together to do something amazing.
