Dublin Retirement Village hosts retirement ‘PAWty’ for beloved therapy dog

DUBLIN, Ohio (WSYX) — Dublin Retirement Village hosted a retirement ‘pawty’ today for a beloved therapy dog, Murphy.

Murphy was the first therapy dog to live at the Dublin Retirement Village and has been providing comfort to residents and their families for the past six years.

According to Dublin Retirement Village’s executive director Dionne Nicol, Murphy is a community icon and is known for having a sixth sense for what people need most.

At the event, Murphey received special recognition from Nicol and a representative from the Dublin City Council.

Attendees were also introduced to Murphy’s new adoptive family who will be bringing him to his new home.
