Recognition reflects the voices of residents and families who experience life in Senior Star communities every day.

Senior Star Communities Recognized by U.S. News & World Report™ as Resident and Family Voices Define What “Best” Truly Means

Senior Star is proud to share that multiple communities have once again been recognized among the Nation’s Best in Senior Living by U.S. News & World Report™. This year’s recognition carries added significance. It marks the fifth consecutive year Senior Star communities have been honored by U.S. News, coming just ahead of the company’s 50th anniversary this August. Together, these milestones reflect a long-standing commitment to creating communities where residents feel at home, supported, and connected across generations.

This recognition holds deeper meaning because of how it is earned. The U.S. News Best Senior Living ratings are based entirely on direct feedback from residents and their families, offering an unfiltered look at what daily life truly feels like inside a community. At a time when families are asking more thoughtful and emotional questions about senior living, this distinction reflects what matters most. It is not just about services or amenities. It is about feeling safe, welcomed, connected, and genuinely at home.

Each year, U.S. News evaluates thousands of communities nationwide, drawing on feedback from more than 400,000 residents and family members. Only those that meet the highest standards based on satisfaction and experience earn the designation, making it a trusted signal for families navigating important decisions.

For Senior Star, that feedback reflects something deeper than what can be measured. It shows up in everyday moments, a warm greeting by name, a shared laugh at dinner, a handheld during a difficult day, and the relationships that make a place feel like home.

“At Senior Star, love isn’t just something we say, it’s something people feel every day,” said CEO Anja Rogers. “What makes this recognition so meaningful is that it comes directly from residents and families. It tells us we’re creating communities where people truly feel at home, and that’s always been our goal.”

Across its communities, Senior Star creates environments where residents can stay engaged, build meaningful relationships, and continue living life with purpose. From chef-prepared dining and wellness programs to resident-led clubs and everyday connections, each experience is designed to support both independence and belonging.

“Our associates are the heart of everything we do,” said COO Shadoworee Betts. “They show up every day with compassion, creativity, and a genuine desire to make a difference. This recognition really belongs to them, and to the residents and families who make our communities what they are.”

This recognition follows closely on the heels of Senior Star’s recent Joint Commission accreditation and comes ahead of its anticipated Great Place to Work® certification announcement, reinforcing a broader story of quality, culture, and consistency across the organization.

As senior living continues to evolve, Senior Star remains focused on what matters most: creating communities where seniors, families and associates feel at home, where relationships come first, and where every interaction is guided by love.
