“I love the family-focused leadership style of this company. We care about everybody — no matter whether that’s an associate, vendor, resident, resident family member — our hand is always outstretched.” —Andy King

Andy joined the Senior Star family in 2008. He holds two culinary degrees — one from Albuquerque’s very own CNM — as well as from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. A seasoned Executive Chef with tenures at 99 Restaurant Group and Courtyard by Marriott, Andy felt right at home to continue his career in cuisine, customer service, and hospitality at Las Colinas Village. In no time, Andy’s talents as a leader shone through, so he hung up his chef’s hat to take on the role of Executive Director, overseeing resident, family, and associate relations at Las Colinas Village. He shares that his love for this position is due to the many opportunity to get to develop relationships with people from all walks of life.

A servant leader at heart, Andy is deeply rooted in the local Alzheimer’s Association chapter’s efforts, as well as Food for the Hungry and Sagebrush Community Church. At home, Andy still enjoys cooking, and he values time spent camping and hiking with his wife, Kelly, and their three children, Adrienne, Sarah, and John. Andy and Kelly are proud grandparents to grandson James, and pet parents to their Chihuahua, Hunter.
