Karen Travis, our assistant executive director at The Kenwood by Senior Star, was recently awarded the distinguished Assisted Living Administrator of the Year award at the American College of Healthcare Administrators (ACHCA) Ohio chapter’s annual executive leadership summit.
The award recognizes a member of ACHCA who has demonstrated the highest professional standards as an administrator in post-acute and aging services – specifically, the assisted living setting.
In her role, Karen has led our community through a major renovation and construction project, doubling the number of assisted living apartments. She delivers our culture of personalized service by getting to know all of The Kenwood’s residents and helping them make the most of every day.
Currently, Karen assists in overseeing the hospitality services and delivery of our individually inspired amenities and programs, with a focus on the operations and quality of the community’s Assisted Living, Memory Support and Nursing Care programs.
