Leading with Love – The Senior Star FORTUNE® story

We are bursting with excitement and pride that we have once again been named to the FORTUNE Best Workplaces in Aging Services™ list for 2023, making this exclusive list five out of the past six years. Since survey results come directly from the hearts and minds of our associates, inclusion on this list reflects over a decade of intentionality putting our associates first, knowing that happy associates mean happy residents.

Senior Star leaders recognized many years ago that leading with love is essential to a meaningful work life experience.  “We aren’t afraid to use the word LOVE in the workplace. Business excellence is at the heart of all that we do…” Anja Rogers, Senior Star CEO, goes on to share, “When we all feel safe, valued and know those around us only want the best for us, we know it truly is a love thing!”

Fortune List Facts…

The list of the top 65 senior living organizations was compiled based on survey results from more than 140,000 senior living employees nationwide.  Associates have the opportunity to share confidential quantitative and qualitative feedback about the organization’s culture by responding to 60 statements on a 5-point scale and two open-ended questions.  A company-wide survey participation rate of 99%+, says Senior Star associates know that their voices are heard.

What does this mean…

FORTUNE Best Workplaces in Aging Services™ 2023 measures the workplace satisfaction of those providing services to seniors and their families.  Being included on this list clearly demonstrates that Senior Star associates are happy and fulfilled in their work which, in turn, offers a loving, purpose-driven environment for residents and their families.  The result … a powerful confirmation of the success of leading with love, backed by Fortune’s research.
